Located in San Mateo, California, Oculus Design & Architecture in collaboration with interior designer Jay Jeffers designed this modern home to be connected to the outdoors throughout. The homeowners, a family of four, purchased two lots with incredible views to create one single property. The cedar-lined house took three years to build, offering modern—clean lines, comfortable interiors and an eco-friendly design. Consisting of 6,000 square feet of living space, patterned furnishings, finishes and organic materials helps to add texture and warmth into this modern home.

What We Love: This fabulous home features black-and-white landscape photographs of Ansel Adams throughout, helping to further connect the interiors to nature. The outdoor living spaces are just incredible, from the double infinity edge pool to the amazing plexiglass hot tub hovering high above the ground. This home’s outdoor space is an entertainer’s dream… and the interior living spaces are just as spectacular.
