This contemporary home was designed by Verner Architects in collaboration with Scavullo Design, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. This semi-urban property provides a park-like setting for this newly constructed home, which was designed to maximize indoor-outdoor living. It also provides generous entertaining spaces while retaining maximum privacy. The design team worked closely with the homeowners to capture the essence of their vision.
Project Team: Architecture: Verner Architects / Interior Design: Scavullo Design / General Contractor: Drew Maran Construction
The interior design scheme reflects the spirit and whimsy of this young, forward-thinking family. A complete site redesign focused on ensuring maximum private outdoor space and keeping a beloved apple tree in the rear yard. The main house, guest house and pool were situated to maximize sun exposure, daylight and privacy. Creating a cohesive flow between the indoor and outdoor living spaces is key. The result is a simple and functional expression of modern design.
