This gorgeous modern coastal home was designed by Brandon Architects in collaboration with building company Patterson Custom Homes, located in Corona del Mar, California. The home is nestled along the ocean side of the famous Pacific Coast Highway. If you have never taken a drive down this idyllic stretch of highway, add it to your bucket list! The design style of this home takes its inspiration from East Coast traditional and shingle style architecture.
Contemporary and modern features are melded together to create this stylish home, reflected in the open concept floor plan and steel doors and windows at the entryway. Another incredible feature of the design of this beach house is the double height volume that is between the courtyard and kitchen/second story walk to the master bedroom. This helps to create a more light and airy aesthetic. Interiors studio Lindye Galloway Design was responsible for the beautiful and stylish furnishings and accessories seen throughout the interiors of this home.

Additional design features include: exterior trellis shade structures, soaring vaulted ceilings, and a stained blue shingle finish with white trim that adds to the richness in detail and design of the home.

What We Love: With beyond gorgeous details throughout, this modern coastal home is light and airy with a fabulous floor plan. The open concept helps to facilitate entertaining with a harmonious flow from indoors to outdoors. We are especially admiring the inviting entry courtyard, expansive walls of glass and how the kitchen effortlessly connects to an outdoor living room thanks to a wall of disappearing glass… Readers, please share what details in this home most inspires you and why in the comments!
