One Kindesign was given the task of selecting a pattern from PIXERS, which can personalize any space in your home, from walls to ceilings and even tables, cabinets and your fridge! We selected to decorate our wall and the pattern you see is the home office as an application. Since the office is a place of creative inspiration, it seemed like a great place to add some unique artwork. When selecting the PIXERStick, I went off the color scheme I already had in my home office. The corner area was the perfect spot, it gave the perfect pop of color and style. With over 30 million different styles to select from, there is something that you can find that will fit perfectly with your room scheme. Their vast selection of images in their collection ranges from a forested backdrop to a twinkling cityscape. Just type in a keyword of something that inspires you and you are on your way! You just type in your wall dimensions and you can see what your wall mural will look like. Another fantastic feature is that you can upload a picture of your room so you can see what the material will look like.
Above: Our kitty decided she would like to model for this image. This is her favorite chair after all!
You can also send them a design you have created, or a personalized image. This could be something like the Grand Canyon, where you have taken an unforgettable image of the rim. This image could be blown up to scale and printed for you to showcase your memory on your wall! PIXERS is an excellent application to add visual interest and color to your space, especially if you are living in a rental home or apartment where you may not be able to paint. They make a single self-adhesive material that can temporarily stick to your wall or ceiling or almost any other flat surface, called “PIXERStick“, and can be taken down and go with you to your new home. You are only limited to your creativity, or to that of the PIXERS team! Have a look at their site for some amazing design inspiration.
Note: It is helpful when you are putting up the wall mural to have two people. This mural, since it was placed in a corner, came in two panels. They both had backings which you slowly peel off. We started at the top and worked our way down. All be sure to clean your wall before you start and wait for it to dry! It took us about twenty minutes to hang the wall mural.
Below are images of the office before the PIXERS Wall Mural. Do you like the before or after? Let us know what you think in the comments below… and please, if you have any questions, ask us!
