This stunning mountain home remodel was carried out by architecture and interiors studio Peace Design, located in Big Sky, Montana. Timbers, stone and glass makes this fantastic mountain retreat a year round escape for a family and their guests. Inside, the home has a luxe lodge feel, with soaring ceilings, wood trusses and exquisite furnishings and design details.

In the living room, a monochromatic color palette helps to not detract from the majestic views of the mountains through the windows. Wood ceiling trusses adds to the rustic beauty of the space, with soaring ceilings and a beautiful chandelier. The floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace creates a nice focal point, adding warmth and visual appeal.

The use of ceiling trusses and large structural logs creates unity through the spaces and visual separation.

The dining room features a rustic elegance, with exquisite furnishings, an antler chandelier and hardwood plank flooring for warmth. Windows on other side of the space captures the vistas of the rugged mountains in the distance.

The custom designed kitchen features a center island with an extra sink, perfect for rinsing fruits and vegetables and prep work. The cabinets were painted and then given a glaze. Engineered stone countertops throughout, while a walnut top covers the breakfast bar. Blue bar stools adds a punch of color to the space.

A cozy family room features a warm color scheme with a small office space and a stone fireplace. A built-in cabinet conceals a television.

In the powder room, the beautiful cabinet was sourced at an antique store in Atlanta and then retrofitted to hold the plumbing.

The master bedroom retreat features a romantic atmosphere, with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows highlighted by tall drapes. The textures and materials used in this space adds warmth and a cozy cabin-like feeling. A convenient pop-up television at the end of the bed keeps the tv neatly concealed. Antlers above the bed adds to the rustic aesthetic. A beautiful chandelier is the focal point to the space, adding ambient lighting.
