A cheerful and colorful apartment was renovated by decorator Pili Molina of the studio Masfotogénica, located in Malaga, a port city on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol. This small apartment of just 700 square feet 65 (square meters) is brimming with personality, showcasing retro style shapes softened with feminine touches. The homeowner wanted the interiors to be customized to fit their daily lifestyle needs. Its position near the coast and the sun-drenched locale inspired the interiors to reflect a lively and vivid color palette. The environment was designed for varying elements to live in harmony with each other, reflecting a vintage style: retro pieces coexist with Nordic and contemporary design, feminine notes and splashes of color. The layout of the apartment is very functional with an open plan living and dining area with access to a cozy terrace off the living area. A sunlit galley kitchen features a small table with two chairs to enjoy breakfast or morning coffee. There are two bedrooms that share a spacious bathroom, with the master bedroom having access to another wonderful terrace. Spaces are maximized with the use of natural light reflecting off the oak flooring the travels through most of the interiors and the use of mirrors, which also reflects light. Many of the furnishings and accessories were rescued from vintage and antique shops and flea markets.

The walls are painted with white and robins egg blue in the living room, with the wall of the dining area featuring a graphical wallpaper print. In the master bedroom a beautiful shade of blue dresses the walls, with both paint and a leafy wallpaper, leaving one wall with just white. The result is a symphony of light, materials and colors, so much vitality!
