This beautifully designed modern apartment interior is the home of a Chicago based designer, Gabriel Fontes who works for interiors firm Homepolish, based out of New York. The designer decorated his home in a monochromatic color palette which really helped to unify the space, while at the same time infusing natural textures in the scheme to help soften the overall aesthetic.  The owner comprised his design style with his husband and decided to meet down the middle. The home showcases a balanced mix of sleek minimalism and a comfortable traditional scheme. The apartment has a real homey feel, open and inviting with lots of texture and a hint of Scandi on the dining chairs. “Our main goal for our place was to merge the two backgrounds in some way, says Gabriel, “I think in order for a home to feel welcoming and sophisticated, the people living there need to be comfortable in it and proud of what the home they’ve created.”
