This fabulous industrial style loft is the creative imagination of the talented team at MARTIN Architects, featuring soaring ceilings and unique design details, situated in Kiev, Ukraine. The duo of the Ukrainian firm, Igor Martin & Olga Novikova collaborated together on this interesting project to come up with a design that is completely open concept. We discovered this amazing home after featuring another project of the architects here on One Kindesign, Industrial style loft in Kiev artfully blends drama and light. There are so many notable features that makes this loft apartment a treat for the eyes to tour through. Have a look and see what we are talking about!

In the living room double volume ceilings showcases ceiling trusses and suspended light fixtures, while a dramatic steel spiral staircase that leads you up to a mezzanine level. Skylights helps to illuminate the space, while white walls reflects light and keeps the area feeling bright and airy. A wall of exposed brick is in keeping with the industrial aesthetic, while arched windows helps to add to the natural light in the space. Clerestory windows with stained glass that appears like artwork adds color and a playful atmosphere to the space. Additional intriguing elements to this space is the structural support columns, enveloped in glass with uplights to illuminate… this would look fantastic at night! A copper clad wood-burning fireplace provides ambiance to both the living room and kitchen.

Wood flooring throughout most of the living spaces provides warmth to an industrial atmosphere. The kitchen is open to the dining room, providing convenient access for entertaining friends and family. A wine cellar next to the kitchen also creates an added convenience for the inhabitants of this home who obviously love to entertain.
