Sheila Bridges Design is responsible for decorating the interiors of this gorgeous mountain house, which was built in 2023 by the architecture firm TruexCullins, nestled on a 240-acre property overlooking Mount Ascutney in Vermont. The New York City-based couple selected the designer due to her innate skill of infusing layers and texture into her interiors.
Their goal was to have the designer bring warmth and character into their sprawling 8,000-square-foot house through the use of pattern and color. Inside this home, the designer selection an interior color scheme inspired by the Vermont license plate.
What We Love: This open and airy house was built to showcase incredible views of the Vermont mountains. The home’s breathtaking surroundings inspired the designer to create an earthy color palette throughout the living spaces. Warm and inviting selections can be found throughout, from the vintage area rugs to the wallcoverings that depict flora and fauna. We love the concept of bringing nature indoors; it creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for this home’s inhabitants and their guests.
