This coastal house, by Jenny Martin Design, captures an updated take on traditional living and is located in the historic Oak Bay community on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Playing with scale, symmetry, and contemporary silhouettes, we created a home that boldly redefines a daring take on timelessness.
Home to a family that warmly welcomes all who enter, Keystone was designed to optimize an enriched culinary experience and encourage social connection. At the heart of the home, the Kitchen features state-of-the-art appliances, floor-to-ceiling White Oak millwork, and a concealed appliance garage with entertainment at the forefront.

Allowing the homeowners to entertain with ease, we prioritized flow and thoughtfully oriented all living areas to capture the dappled light from the trees beyond, optimizing an ultimate indoor-outdoor living experience.

Anchoring the Kitchen with a moody wet bar detailed in Tartufo stone and concealed ambient lighting, the main floor seamlessly transitions from day to night.

Flanking the island with oversized Charleston pendants, the designer prioritized impact through minimalism.

By contrasting warm seaside palettes with dynamic finishes designed to age in place, they created continuity throughout, integrating contemporary coffers and softened archways for heightened architectural interest.

A gathering space for generations to come, this coastal house effortlessly captures the luxury of the surrounding neighbourhood, with a home designed to last a lifetime.
