This grand country getaway was designed by Crisp Architects together with Stonecrest Builders, located in the countryside of Columbia County, New York. As you drive down the winding dirt road, you come to a clearing, and the most breathtaking view opens up, and you have arrived.
The homeowners discovered this property and asked the architects to design a getaway destination to help them decompress after a stressful week in the city. There was little discussion regarding which way the house should face. The views told the story, and the architects maximized them throughout this stunning home.

What We Love About This Home
This grand country getaway perfectly captures the tranquility of its Columbia County setting, with breathtaking views that unfold the moment you arrive. The architects designed the home as a stylish yet relaxing retreat from city life, where expansive windows and careful orientation make the countryside views the highlight of every room. Overall, we are loving the design of this home, as it beautifully balances refined country elegance with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature.
