Jobe Corral Architects, together with Crowell Builders, has designed this impressive home, inspired by ranch-style architecture, situated in Blanco, Texas. The home was conceived as a place for celebration, for being with friends and bringing others together, forming new relationships and strengthening old ones. It is a space to welcome many and nurture a few in its striking Texas Hill Country setting.
The design was developed under the premise that the forms and detailing should reflect the inventiveness of ranchers. This straightforward way of building and living resulted in structures that show themselves unapologetically. The property includes a main house, an entertaining pavilion, and renovated accessory buildings. The exterior facade features reclaimed wood siding from Delta Millworks and a standing-seam metal roof.

Every timeless home starts with a clear point of view. Tarry House began as a vision shaped by light, landscape, and a sense of place. Through careful design and intention, it became a home that honors its surroundings and elevates everyday living. From raw framework to refined form, it reflects how inspiration becomes foundation.

The main architectural feature of this ranch-inspired home is a cross gable that provides high, airy interior spaces and light-filtered porches. The cross gables feature large expanses of glass, pivot doors, and deep overhangs, creating a space that is both indoors and out.

The project also includes a pavilion with cooking, dining, and living areas, a pool, various fire features, and renovated guest accessory buildings.
