This rustic post and beam cottage was reimagined by Rapp Construction Management, together with the Brooklyn-based design firm and furniture company ZZ Driggs, and is nestled in the charming town of Pine Plains, New York. Set on a 40-acre property, nature and vistas of the Taconic Mountains surround this warm and welcoming house in the Hudson Valley.
Highlights of this home include oak floors, solid oak posts and beams that were hand-built decades ago, a new cast iron wood-burning stove in the high-ceilinged main living room, Carrara marble countertops in the newly remodeled open and airy chef’s kitchen, brand new top-of-the-line Bosch appliances, Schumacher and Pierre Frey window dressings and upholstery throughout.

There is an antique but fully restored clawfoot tub in the main floor bathroom, fully functional antique porcelain sinks, a statuario marble master bathroom and shower on the lower level, French doors and mullioned windows throughout, a loft nook with separate seating areas, along with a lofted bedroom with an abundance of natural light.
