Wade Design Architects, in partnership with Jennifer Robin Interior, has designed this visually stunning modern farmhouse that celebrates indoor-outdoor living in St. Helena, a city in Napa County, California. Rooted in the charm of wine country’s rural farmsteads, this residence reimagines the classic “farm cluster” layout with a modern, quietly luxurious sensibility.
Designed for a couple who balance creativity and connection, this house unfolds through a series of indoor-outdoor spaces that move effortlessly between solitude and celebration. A board-formed concrete fireplace and glass-encased wine lounge anchor the interiors, where natural textures and moody tones play against vineyard views. A party barn strikes the perfect balance of sophistication and playfulness.

It’s a space designed for friends, family, laughter, and late nights. The result is a home that feels grounded yet glamorous – an elegant fusion of wine-country calm and modern edge.

This wine country estate layers modern furnishings, vintage finds, and custom pieces into a chic, moody home with a subtle edge.

The great room contains the living, dining, and kitchen area, while behind a partial wall, you will find a bar and piano lounge. Beautiful detailing, a moody color palette, and a mix of scales help this open layout to feel warm and welcoming. High-end Italian furnishings are complemented by larger custom furnishings and lighting to create comfort and balance.
The great room features a modern aesthetic with rich textural finishes paired with a color scheme of primarily black, charcoal, and white. This backdrop serves as a backdrop to the views of nature and the owner’s collection of colorful art.
