This modern dream home was designed by Shelby Wood Design, together with Southland & Building Co., situated in Mar Vista, a diverse neighborhood in West Los Angeles, California. Every aspect of this home was covered by the designer, from the initial architectural sketch right up to the fine details, such as fresh flowers in a vase.
Unique touches were added to this 3,494 square foot, four-bedroom and four bathroom home, such as a vegetable garden and even a dog-friendly shower. An open and spacious floor plan was created to accommodate the lifestyle needs of its inhabitants.
High-end materials were integrated into the design, such as Fleetwood doors and windows. The residence combines privacy with a beautiful courtyard featuring a live succulent wall and fountain. An open third-story rooftop deck offers breathtaking views overlooking the cityscape all the way to the ocean. Every design feature has been completed to absolute perfection, creating a home that is both comfortable and inviting.
On the exterior facade, beautiful redwood siding was finished with an eye-catching walnut stain, contrasting nicely against the gray stucco walls.
What We Love: Beautiful white oak flooring throughout the main living spaces infuses warmth into this California dream home. The exterior architecture boasts eye-catching curb appeal, while the gardens around the back of the property offer a serene sanctuary in the city.
