This midcentury modern house was completely transformed by David Henig, Architect, together with Amy Friedberg Design, situated in the mountain community of Sky Londa, a neighborhood in Woodside, California. Atop the coastal range west of Woodside, the community’s official elevation is 1,520 feet above mean sea level. The scope of this project entails the remodel and addition to a mid-century property that was originally constructed in 1962 by John Gordon Replinger.

What We Love: This midcentury modern house features beautiful design details throughout its interior renovation. We are especially loving the large windows helping to flood the interiors with natural light while connecting the interiors with nature. From the gorgeous master bathroom to the beautiful dining room table, there are plenty of fantastic details that make this home warm and inviting.

Above: The live edge dining table is a piece of wood selected at Global Wood Source in Campbell, California. They have beautiful slabs to pick from.

Above: The fireplace in the corner of this master bedroom is from cocoon fireplaces. It was customized a bit for this project.
Above: In the master bathroom, the custom vanity is by LSC Cabinetry in San Jose, California. It was made in solid walnut with a Danish oil finish. Above the vanity are Robern mirrored cabinets and sidelights. A concrete plaster was applied to these walls which makes them waterproof. A plaster artist was hired to finish the walls.
Above: The shower walls are Venetian plaster. Beautifully done by Rye Hudak from Level 5 Design. The shower floor is ipe.
Above: In the guest bedroom, the accent wall color was a custom Benjamin Moore color that the homeowner selected.
