Archiscapes, in partnership with Urban Grace Interiors, has crafted this stunning four-story lakefront home in WaterColor, a master-planned community situated in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. According to the architects, the house was “designed to blend the styles of historic Florida cottages and the elegance of New Orleans mansions.”
The exterior design is stunning, from the New Orleans-inspired wrap-around porch to the stately white columns. Inspired by Florida beach homes is the metal roof, exposed rafter tails, and massive tower with a widow’s walk. Beckoning you to the home’s French front door are the wooden rockers set on the front porch, to the glow from the gas lanterns.
Encompassing 5,086 square feet of living space, the cottage boasts six bedrooms and six bathrooms. The interiors are ultra-inviting with white shiplap walls and soaring shiplap-clad ceiling painted in a serene blue. Complimenting this are heart pine floors, beautiful white marble tile, and luminosity throughout.
Highlights of this lakefront cottage include an open-plan great room showcasing seven sets of French doors with transom windows, which spill out onto a covered porch with a spacious dining area. There is also an expansive swimming pool, lounge spaces, a ping-pong table, and a fully appointed carriage house.
What We Love: This charming lakefront cottage features warm and welcoming living spaces and a fabulous outdoor entertaining area. We love the wrap-around porch, which adds to the beauty of the exterior facade. The shiplap walls and ceiling give a nice beachy vibe, while the kitchen is coastal chic! Not to mention, there is not one, but two laundry spaces that are simply drool-worthy… and we are so loving the bunk beds!
