Located in Edmond, Oklahoma, project Rustic Refined is a luxury home that beautifully captures the essence of European cottage living, rooted in warmth, authenticity, and layered materials.

Conceived by Frusterio Design and brought to life by builder McGregor Homes, the architecture set the stage for a rich interior vision realized by the award-winning team at Kelsey Leigh Design Co., all collaborating to ensure the home was thoughtfully tailored to reflect the family’s lifestyle, collections, and daily rhythms.

From the street, this home feels timeless and composed. Natural-toned brick brings warmth and permanence to the European-inspired facade, while charcoal shutters and a dark roof add contrast without feeling overstated.

Out back, that same restrained intention continues with a covered patio anchored by a built-in fireplace and charcoal-toned wood paneling, creating a true extension of the living space, while the pool and hot tub are finished with subtle checkered tile detailing that feels traditional and enduring.

Every exterior selection, from the street presence to the thoughtfully appointed outdoor living spaces, was designed to age beautifully and support how this family actually lives, from front to back.

Inspired by a previous showcase floor plan yet completely reimagined from the ground up, every detail, from the stone accent walls and reclaimed wood ceiling beams to the warm oak cabinetry, La Cornue range, and bespoke bunk room, creates a timeless, grounded aesthetic throughout. The result is a deeply personal retreat that feels elevated, livable, and designed to grow with the family for years to come.

What We Love About This Home

There is so much to admire in this European cottage-inspired home, but a few details really stand out. The stone accent walls carried through the living room, dining room, owner’s bedroom, and bath create a visual and textural continuity that feels intentional. The exquisite kitchen with its La Cornue range, reclaimed-wood hood, honed-marble countertops, and oversized lantern pendants feels entirely in harmony. We also love the sage green pantry, which is moody, practical, and charming. The bunk room, with its built-in staircase, under-bed storage drawers, and floral quilts, is the kind of space that makes you wish you were a kid again!
