This gorgeous mountain modern farmhouse style home was designed by Joan Heaton Architects in collaboration with Kate Kelley Designs, nestled on a 100-acre property, in Bridgewater, a town in Windsor County, Vermont. Encompassing 5,890 square feet of living space, this dwelling provides a retreat for a couple with four adult children. They desired a vacation home that would be inviting for family gatherings yet cozy and intimate when the couple is by themselves.
To address this, the architect created a home with three gable roof volumes. The buildings are unified by flat-roof, single-story structures. A living room and an entry/mudroom are located in between the gable roof volumes. Continue below to see the rest of this incredibly spectacular home…

What We Love: This beautifully designed home offers a family a sophisticated yet inviting home for relaxing family vacations. We love the overall concept of this home, with its separate yet connected structures, allowing this home ample space for gathering with loved ones while still feeling intimate and cozy. There is so much attention to detail throughout the home, from the plaster hood in the kitchen to the acid-wash metal surround in the living room to the expansive walls of glazing that help to capture the breathtaking surroundings.
