Living Stone Design + Build in collaboration with ID.ology Interiors & Design has designed this mountain rustic modern home boasting breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Swannanoa, North Carolina. With three bedrooms and two and a half baths, the 3,500-square-foot house has a private owner’s suite and a roomy open floor plan. Huge sliding glass doors open to allow the outdoors indoors.
When the couple needs even more fresh air, they can step out onto their patio. Awaiting them there is an outdoor living room that the architects rendered to the homeowner’s exact specifications. The pool there is a refreshing break from sultry summer days, while the covered poolside sitting area with a covered kitchen is a pleasant place to spend the evening hours.
The whole house looks modern but not overly so. It has plenty of warmth, what the homeowners were looking to achieve when they closely collaborated with both the architect and the interior designer. The designer worked with the owners to help source finishes, textures, and appliances that would transform their house into a home.
In the end, the homeowners had a vision, and the project team helped to bring their beautiful vision to life to create an award-winning home.
