This Tuscany inspired home was designed by James McNeal Architecture, situated on a beautiful winery estate in Kasota, Minnesota. The dwelling is composed of natural materials that give a sense of permanence and age โ€“ blending right in with a well-aged bottle of wine.

It’s fitting since the home is nestled on a Winery Estate. One-of-a-kind timber work defines the entrance and interior. These lodge-like qualities include a great Grand Hall with natural light streaming in from both sides, extending past the fireplace through to the library and beyond. Continue below to see the rest of this breathtaking home…

Above: Epic timber work makes this space feel like a Great Hall. The timbers were designed to support more than the ceiling; they support the use of the space for gatherings of all sizes. With the timbers running along and down the walls, they define the volume of the space and connect every room on the main level.

The custom balusters for the stairway railing are mounted to the sides of the stairs, not on top of the stairs, to make a more open walkway. This stairway acts as a split entry to the backyard and the swimming pool.

Overlooking a ravine that overlooks the town of St. Peter, the back exterior and yard of this winery estate home meets the ravine at its beginning. The wings on each side of the home hug the terrace and stepping stones lead down to the pool area. It is designed to look almost like the home created the ravine. The area is perfect for swimming, lounging, and gatherings.
