This shingle-style getaway house was designed by Brooks & Falotico Associates in collaboration with Chauncey Boothby Interiors, located in the low-key coastal community of Kennebunk, Maine. A New England beachfront classic, this dwelling features gabled dormers, stone chimneys, and a series of porches that cascade from the top to the bottom of the two-and-a-half-story structure.
The architects kept the interior clean, but not too contemporary, with unfussy moldings and Shaker-style paneling. This home is used as a wonderful year-round escape for a family of six, where a screened porch with a fireplace can be enjoyed throughout the seasons for family gathering and entertaining. What We Love: This beachfront getaway house features light-filled living spaces filled with nautical accents. Every space in this home is designed to perfection, with relaxed interiors to feel like you are always on a vacation. Bedrooms are cozy and inviting, especially the main bedroom with its serene color palette and board and batten ceiling. We are especially loving the dining room with its arched entry and beautiful mix of textures and hues for memory-making dinner parties.
