This mountain craftsman-style home was designed by The Architectural Studio in collaboration with Morgan-Keefe Builders, located in Balsam Mountain Preserve, North Carolina. A custom build called “Cliff Haven” offering luxury mountain living with woodsy surroundings and jaw-dropping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Balsam Mountain Preserve is a private, gated, mountain, golf, and equestrian community in the Western North Carolina Mountains. Unique, custom details have been integrated throughout this dwelling, including the alpine shake and stone craftsmanship. Decadent elements such as the penny gap details throughout and the custom copper exhaust in the kitchen make this home a true masterpiece.
What We Love: This craftsman style mountain home provides its inhabitants with a warm and welcoming atmosphere for daily living. Nestled into the mountainside, views are maximized from both interior and exterior living spaces to showcase the mesmerizing views. With its remote site, the property provides an abundance of privacy while enhancing the experience of true mountain living. Overall, we are loving the architectural design of this home, with its beautiful living spaces and inviting warmth.

The cozy living room features a stone-clad fireplace and a large picture window framing the most breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The kitchen features three islands, perfect for entertaining family and friends. Doors open on both sides of the casual dining area to take advantage of the fresh mountain air. The space leads out to a covered, wrap-around porch for three-season enjoyment.
Locally sourced, reclaimed barn wood ceilings continue onto the porch ceiling to visually connect the spaces. Custom cabinets were built out of the same reclaimed ceiling material and custom hickory cabinets can be found in the kitchen.
Walls are covered in pine nickel gap, stained with natural colors, and accented by heavy timbers and bright white trim. The light-filled primary bedroom and bathroom are a welcoming oasis.
