Strand Design together with Str8 Modern has given this midcentury modern home a complete makeover, located in the Golden Valley neighborhood of Minnesota. Taken down to the studs, the project team worked together to refresh this 1960s home to its former glory.
Maintaining the original feel with low-slung flat roof lines, a playful bridged entry, and oversized skylights, this dwelling further connects to its surroundings through a new bi-fold wall system and large glass openings. Continue below to see the rest of this amazing home tour…
This project emphasizes a keen sense of attention to detail. Together with their up-scale material palettes, the exposed steel elements, meticulously crafted casework, and millwork, hidden doors, and a showcase stairway all come together creating a pint-sized mid-century gem.
What We Love: This midcentury makeover provides its occupants with a completely refreshed home from the exterior to the interior. The residence offers fantastic curb appeal with a backdrop of mature growth trees. One is welcomed inside to clean lines and light-filled living spaces that offer framed views through expansive glazing. Overall, we think the project team did a fabulous job of creating a bright and airy new home with inspiring details.
