The homeowner of this projectย in Newport Beach, California commissioned Miken Construction along withย Blackband Designย to design a beautiful beach style home. The concept of this home was to create an east coast meets west coast vibe. What you see in the design style of this home is a traditional Hamptons beach house transposed into a California setting. The interiors are characterized by hues of bright whites intermingled with navy blues and earthy flax tones in a very causal atmosphere. To add dimension to the spaces, the designers introduced bold punches of color in the fabrics and furnishings. They also layered various textures to add visual comfort and warmth.
The dining room is one of the designers favorite areas of the home. The built-in window seat features a custom fabricated blue and white checkered seat cushion. Minty green dining chairs accents the wood table, adding a pop of color to the space. The color also catches your eye as soon as visitors enter the home.
What We Love: Sliding glass panels disappear to create a wonderful indoor-outdoor connection for this beach style home. The casual vibe throughout makes this home very inviting. We especially love the rooftop deck, so perfect for entertaining friends and family. The bursts of color throughout the home creates a cheery vibe. Plenty of fabulous features… do you agree? Tell us, what do you like about this home?
