Schon House is a sensationally designed modern stone and glass dwelling by locally based architecture studioย Jose Garcia Design, situated in Cincinnati, Ohio. The beautiful spacious interiors feature wooden flooring and ceilings throughout, which is comprised of ash that was harvested on the property. The columns are comprised of white oak, which wasย salvaged from a crumbling old barn that was discovered locally. The mullions that envelop the operable windows are comprised of Douglas fir. This impressive home is surrounded by forest, with a large expanse of property the home has a lot of seclusion, creating a peaceful place to live for the fortunateย homeowners.

In this beautiful living room, floor to ceiling windows allows natural light to penetrate the space. Minimal furnishings keeps the home clutter free, creating easy living for the homeowners. Both of the sofas are designed byย B&B Italia, with the white one being the “George” sectional.
The bedroom offers incredible views to the outdoors, surrounded by windows, the lines between indoors and out are blurred. A clean lined chair and folding deskย byย Wilkhahn called “Confair”,ย offers a nice space to work.
The bands that separateย the windows consist ofย cement fiber board cladding.
The black cladding material that you see above and behind the stone is pre-weathered zinc.
