This gorgeous modern lake house was designed by Crisp Architects and is situated along a picturesque lake in New York State. The homeowners desired a simple home for their young family, to be built on a beautiful lakeside property. They requested plenty of large windows to soak in views of the lake. The architects designed a home for them that will become a family heirloom.

In addition to the owner’s request to keep the design simple, they also asked the architect to help them get the most house for their budget. This new residence does not feel like any compromises were made and both the homeowners and the architect were delighted with the outcome. What We Love: This modern lake house in New York State provides a gorgeous two-story home for a young family to enjoy all the benefits of lakeside living. The architects did a beautiful job of creating an inviting home despite its modern aesthetic, thanks to large windows bringing nature inside. Playful pops of color throughout this dwelling help to create a living and welcoming living environment.
