Designer Tip: When determining how high off the pool table you should hang your light fixture, it depends on the style. A good rule of thumb is that you do not want any shadows in the play field of the pool table. This can often be achieved by hanging the light 34″ – 36″ from the pool table. You will want to try and have the light installed before if at all possible. Be careful not to go too low with the light fixture also. The size of the table can also play a factor in the height of the light.
