Brandon Architects has designed this beautiful harborfront home located in the idyllic Beacon Bay community of Newport Beach, California. The architects maximized the property’s potential for indoor-outdoor living by integrating large sliding glass doors that open the main living area directly out towards the water.

An enclosed main-level patio is used for outdoor lounging, while a partially covered rooftop deck on the third level allows for spectacular views over most of the harbor. Continue below to see the rest of this 4,601-square-foot home tour…

Since the property borders a small park on one side, this home was given the opportunity to create a fun and inviting approach to the residence, which is not common for a high-density neighborhood. This also enhanced natural light through the length of the house on the same side.

Playful accents, such as the bright copper trim and window planters, make this traditional dwelling easily distinguishable from its neighbors.

What We Love: This harborfront home offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyday living at the beach. The architects did a fabulous job of designing this home to maximize views of the water while flooding the interiors with natural light. Spread out over three levels, living spaces are devised for gathering and privacy with an amazing rooftop deck for optimal viewing over the harbor.

On the interior, you will find light, beachy tones that provide a comfortable atmosphere that is perfect for the home’s coastal context. Dark wood flooring and black accents throughout help to modernize the interior. Several custom details, including a curved glass-and-steel wall enclosing the upstairs office from the main hallway, provide this home its own character.
