This inviting beach-style home was designed by Brandon Architects in collaboration with Patterson Custom Homes, located in Corona Del Mar, a seaside neighborhood in the city of Newport Beach, California. The traditional shingle-style exterior of this 3,523 square foot home features a unique white stain finish.
The dwelling incorporates indoor/outdoor spaces in the form of a front yard/patio, interior courtyard, various balconies, and a large entertainment deck on the third floor. The large open plan of the first floor encompasses the kitchen, great room, and dining nook, with the courtyard adjacent to the kitchen.

Interior designer Anne Michaelsen Design collaborated with the architect and builder to create a very personalized beachy home. It was important to the owner that all indoor-outdoor spaces were maximized for everyday living and entertaining.
What We Love: This inviting beach-style home offers its occupants an open and spacious floor plan thanks to its indoor/outdoor environment. We are loving the three-story layout with the main living spaces on the first level, bedrooms on the second, and an entertaining deck on the upper level. Overall, a beautifully designed home that is perfect for everyday living and entertaining in stylish comfort.

Note: Take a look at a couple of other incredible home tours that we have showcased here on One Kindesign in the state of California: This Napa Valley farmhouse retreat is the ultimate nature-inspired design and A chic beach house refuge for a family of surfers in Santa Cruz, California.
The designer focused on colors the owner liked and appropriate materials for a family with active pets. Lots of geodes and stones were used for artistic and organic emphasis.
The second floor is more private with the primary suite, two secondary bedroom suites, laundry, and cat patio (catio).
The third level is entirely outdoors, featuring a covered cabana and view deck for entertaining family and friends.
