This luminous family home was designed by Emily Summers Design Associates, located in Bluffview, an upscale neighborhood in North Dallas, Texas. For the design of this home, the owners requested exciting living spaces that are both beautiful and comfortable, with visually striking elements such as a reclaimed barn-wood ceiling, highly textural rugs, hand-painted wallpaper, and expansive windows that capture the lush gardens outside.
The designer created exhilarating living spaces that do not sacrifice comfort for style. The result is a home that everyone could use and enjoy, with flexible spaces that allow for entertaining in both formal and intimate settings.
In this luminous entry, a Meridiani marble and a metal table are topped with succulent arrangements designed by Grange Hall. Above the table, a beautiful amorphic mirror that resembles a mylar balloon.
The expansive great room acts as both the formal living space and the TV/entertainment space, while the dining room is understated yet elegant with chairs comfortable enough to cater to dinner parties that last well into the night.
What We Love: This luminous family home offers exciting living spaces that were designed for both comfort and style. With contemporary styling, the designer was successful in creating a home that everyone can use and enjoy. Flexible living spaces allow the owners to entertain in both formal and informal living environments. We are especially loving the great room with its open and airy feel and beautiful reclaimed barn-wood ceiling.
