Ranch house in Arizona offers fresh and inspiring makeover

ranch-house-exterior

A southwestern style home was renovated by design-build studio Rafterhouse, located in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix, Arizona. This outdated home was transformed into a classic ranch house, which complimented the surrounding neighborhood. The removed outdated arches and added an entertaining space, along with a two-car garage. The design team brought in a timeless aesthetic, along with playful vintages pieces that were integrated into the home, giving it character and style.

The whole process of the renovation was captured on film as the design team went through the construction and design phase. A 30 minute television show called “Rafterhouse” was aired on HGTV, on October 10th, 2015. The objective of the design team is to preserve post-war ranch homes in the Arcadia neighborhood, giving them more open layouts and modern amenities.

I love the entire makeover, but my favorite is the fireplace! I have the same one and would love to do the makeover. Can you tell me what technique you used?
