New York-based interior design studio Frank de Biasi Interiors masterfully designed this impressive modern rustic mountain retreat located in Aspen, Colorado. Throughout the interiors, the designer has carefully selected an eclectic mix of accessories and furnishings. An example of this can be seen above, with the blue hand on the coffee table and the large crystal on the side table. Additionally, the mossy green pillows on the sofa (a custom design by Frank) adds texture and naturalness to the space. A side table of petrified wood also adds a touch of naturalness to this living area. Adding to the visual interest of this room is the colorful area rug, a custom design by Doug & Gene Meyer. To complete the look, the giant artwork above the sofa creates a huge impact of color and a focal point to the room.
The homeowners of this mountain retreat showcase their vast and colorful art and sculpture collection throughout the interiors. Soaring ceilings and clerestory windows helps to illuminate the living room and highlight the artwork. Beautiful light fixtures, intriguing furnishings and a mix of material elements gives this home plenty of visual stimulation.
What We Love: This modern rustic mountain retreat features a unique and inspiring eclectic mix of furnishings, finishes and materials. This luxurious artwork and decor provides bold pops of color throughout and plenty of visual stimulation. Our favorite space is the bathroom, a spa oasis that has a fireplace and french doors that lead out to a patio and an expansive swimming pool… perfect in the summertime!

The custom designed vanity is Carrara marble — Crema Marfil — to match the walls and floor. The wall sconces were sourced from Jean Perzel, while the mirrors are Lenox Medicine Cabinets from Urban Archeology. On the floor, the caribou reindeer hides came from Pologeorgis Furs.
