Renowned Brazilian architect Ricardo Rossi was commissioned to rehabilitate this luxurious house into a more modern and spacious layout in São Paulo, Brazil. The architect selected different models of Neolith, an innovative compact synthesized surface material. The material was used to create styles in each living environment, both indoors and out. The Iron Copper model was selected to represent an oxidized copper color, providing contrast, strength and dynamism against the gray and white used in the rest of decorative elements of the house; creating an attractive appearance.

In addition to its aesthetic qualities, durability of Neolith has been one of the numerous technical features that the architect has taken into account when prescribing the material. Around this theme, the architect explains: “We wanted a durable surface that remained intact over time and resist wear that typically occurs in a family home.” The final result: a luxurious Brazilian housing that maximizes indoor living with an exotic outdoor living area. This house is enjoyed by its inhabitants both inside and out.

The Neolith product used in this luxurious house project is very lightweight, weighing in at 7 kg / m² when presented in 3 mm thick (suitable for coatings) and 30 kg / m in 12 mm, when used as a kitchen countertop. This aspect with different sizes in which the material (including two large format 3,200 x 3,600 x 1,500 mm and 1,200 mm, and cut to size) is presented. According to the products website, these specs were the reason this material was a very attractive proposition for this project right from the beginning.

“Being able to cover large areas with fewer panels, with Neolith properties of lightness, offered only advantages, with installation time and cost savings,” states the architect Ricardo Rossi. “In addition to meeting the customer’s wishes, presenting a concept of residential cutting edge design, Ricardo Rossi Architecture and Interior also promotes the use of sustainable materials, prescribing whenever possible, organic materials such as Neolith.”
