Zaca Creek Ranch is a spectacular rustic barn home transformed by Jessica Helgerson Interior Design, nestled on 1,600 acres in Santa Ynez, California. The beautiful surrounding property is covered with oak trees, and the building structure itself seems to fit with its environment. A barn-like home with a casual, comfortable aesthetic and soothing color palette inspired by its surroundings. The interiors are decorated with warm off-whites, shades of green, sage and browns and mellow red accents, which is reflected in the kitchen cabinets. Rustic materials and objects were added throughout the home to create warmth and comfort. Reclaimed tobacco-barn oak was applied to the flooring and custom cabinetry. The bathrooms feature neutral hued tiles, which mixes nicely with the warmth of the reclaimed wood, creating a nice balance with the unique light fixtures and mirrors. The bedrooms feature sliding barn doors to conceal the closets. Most of the furnishings are antique, including the old tractor seats which were retrofitted to create eye-catching bar stools in the kitchen. A reclaimed wrought-iron gate was transformed into a beautiful headboard. In the living room, an Indian cart was re-purposed into a coffee table.
