Destree Architect completely transformed this 100-year-old farmhouse in partnership with Lauren Liess Interiors, located in the charming town of Middleton, Wisconsin. The project team worked to more than double the home’s size, adding a beautiful expansion to accommodate the lifestyle needs of its young, active family of six.
The designer did not want to lose an ounce of the farmhouse’s original character, working painstakingly to blur the lines between the old and new parts of the house by incorporating reclaimed and vintage materials throughout. With so much patina and plaster, one of the most common questions first-time visitors to the family ask is, “Is this original?” A high compliment to both the owners and their designer!
