Tour This North Carolina Dream House With Sweeping Mountain View

Young & Young Architects together with Allard + Roberts Interior Design have designed this exquisite custom dream house nestled in the Grand Highlands community in Western North Carolina.

A couple sought solace on the East Coast after enduring years within a constrained living space, sharing their home with a labrador puppy and a teenager, all while navigating remote work during the challenges posed by COVID.

They knew they needed more room to breathe, work and live, and had settled on this property with sweeping long-range mountain views. This dwelling has evolved into their long-awaited dream home.

The painting on the wall over the entry console table was sourced from Asheville-based art gallery Blue Spiral 1.

In the living room, the chairs are from Bernhardt Furniture, while the coffee table is from Made Goods. Grounding this space, the area rug was sourced from Textura Rugs.

A seamless blend of vintage and contemporary elements, coupled with the owners’ cherished leather book collection, personal artwork, and accessories.

In the bathroom, the mirror sconces were sourced from Hubbardton Forge.

In the beautiful powder bathroom, the pendant lights were sourced from Hubbardton Forge.
