Originally built in the 1980s, the 5,000 square foot house was sensitively sited yet very dated and slightly awkward inside, necessitating a major refresh.

What We Love

With the addition of new windows and sliding glass doors, not only does this home better connect to the outdoors but has enhanced natural light.

With the removal of interior walls, the spaces now have a more improved flow, which helps to make living spaces feel light and airy.

What was originally an open porch and most recently the kitchen, is now a sunroom with views west to the river.

Working within the angled geometry of the existing structure, additional windows were added to open views across the water to the south end of San Juan Island and Lopez Island.
