Stunning Renovation Of A Colonial-Style Residence In Minnesota

Charlie & Co. Design has completely reimagined this stunning 1941 Colonial-style home nestled on almost an acre in the Rolling Green neighborhood of Edina, Minnesota.

This new design ties together 80+ years of various additions, bringing more daylight and a cohesive vision to this refreshed residence.

The homeowners were drawn to the property for its traditional architecture, lush landscaping, and the five bedrooms that are located on the upper level — enough space for the owners and their four children.

This inviting entryway was reimagined with beautiful millwork, a chinoiserie cabinet, and a hidden jib door (a door made flush with a wall) that leads into a beautiful powder bath.

The foyer is framed by recessed paneling and leaded glass windows.

The powder bath features Harlem Toile de Jouy hand-screened wallpaper, adding a touch of whimsy to this space.

In the family room, a wall of built-ins was replaced with sideboards and antique mirrors for beautiful symmetry. A wall in this space was removed, which necessitated a new steel beam.

This sunken living room steps up into the light-filled kitchen, which features a cozy breakfast nook.
