Newport Beach House Is Designed To Celebrate Waterfront Living

This waterfront dream house was designed by Brandon Architects together with Patterson Custom Homes, located on Harbor Island, a small artificial island in Newport Beach, California.

The three levels of this traditional style residence are immediately celebrated upon entrance with a triple-height foyer, nearly thirty feet tall.

The main living space, overlooking the rear yard and calm harbor waters beyond consists of a bar, lounge, great room, dining room, and kitchen, all connected by the project’s open plan.

The design is discreet as the foyer remains at ground level, while the main living area is four feet below the foyer, accessible by a short flight of stairs.

A richly-decorated office creates a serene environment for productivity.

The main living space overlooks the yard and harbor waters beyond, and its open-concept floor plan includes a bar, a lounge, a great room, a dining room, a kitchen, and a butler’s pantry.

The staircase has the dual purpose of providing a bookend to the entry as well as concealing the wine storage and a corking area.

The second level contains three secondary bedroom suites, laundry, gym, and the owner’s bedroom suite — all with sweeping views over Newport Harbor and Linda Isle to the North.
