This one-and-a-half-story house features a walk-out basement to a pool with a man-made river that wraps around the whole home. The house includes detailed carvings and a hobbit door to embrace the lodge-style theme.

The home is perfectly positioned to capture views of a pond on one side and a wooded lake on the other. Expansive glazing at the front and back allows natural light to flow throughout the interior. The master suite is connected to the main house by a skyway and has its own lower level, apart from the remainder of the house. It acts as a separate pool house building with a changing room and exercise facility.

The home even has a creek running under its front entry and was built with stone and wood to help it blend naturally into its environment. The homeowners had lived on the property for several years in a different house, so they knew the land and were passionate about constructing this new home.

What We Love: This Irish lodge-style house has a gorgeous material palette of timber and stone on the exterior facade. Inside, warm and inviting living spaces are flooded with natural light thanks to large walls of windows. There are so many amazing details in this home, especially the beautiful river bed that runs under the front entry, the grand living room, and the wood hobbit door.
