Calimia Home is responsible for giving this stunning family home a complete refresh, located in Morningside, a neighborhood in Miami, Florida. The interiors of this dwelling were dated, including a dark kitchen, painted wood floors, and bathrooms that needed a modern update.

The scope of this project entailed a complete overhaul, including interior and exterior living spaces, fixtures, finishes, furnishings, accessories, and interior styling. Newly designed living spaces reveal an aesthetic that melds warm vintage-inspired moments with a cool minimalist artistic sensibility.

What We Love: The designer did a fabulous job of overhauling this family home to create bright and airy living spaces with stylish touches throughout. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to meet the lifestyle needs of this home’s inhabitants, providing them with comfortable spaces for daily living and entertaining. Overall, we are especially loving the harmony between the three main living spaces — the kitchen, dining room, and living room.

In the kitchen, the design team maintained the same footprint however they enlarged the island, and integrated custom cabinetry with integrated appliances. The handpainted terracotta tile on the backsplash set the palette and tone for the rest of the space.

Above: The backsplash features hand-painted tiles from Tabarka Studio. The countertops were sourced from Iberia Tiles. The designer selected a creamy white for the cabinets and a light French gray for the Island. She tied it together with the corner oak shelves, woven shades, and rattan stools sourced from Jamie Young. On the floor, the vintage rug was sourced from Heirlooms.
