This beautiful Victorian house has undergone a complete overhaul by Imperfect Interiors, located in the leafy Barnes neighborhood of South London, United Kingdom. This grand five-bedroom, four-bathroom home felt dated and dark when the new owner purchased it. The kitchen had low ceilings and felt disconnected.
The designer opened this space up to make it feel as elegant as the rest of the home. This included adding a contemporary glass-roofed kitchen extension that now encompasses a bespoke dining area. This allows the family to enjoy the spacious, open-plan layout and feel more connected.
All four bathrooms were reimagined, the main bedroom suite was created, and the entire house was rewired, replumbed, and reconfigured. The entire residence is now infused with natural light, tactile surfaces, and a soft mix of contemporary and traditional furnishings that suit the entire family.
What We Love: This Victorian house in London provides a family with a wonderful, newly refreshed home with light-filled living spaces. There is now a great flow throughout the home with elegant yet family-friendly furnishings and finishes. We are especially loving the kitchen extension with its spacious island, beautiful cabinetry, and large skylight to enhance the natural light in this space. The added banquette makes you feel like you are dining in the garden and is the perfect finishing touch.
