An 1880s miner’s cabin has been transformed into a modern ski retreat by Workshop/APD, located in Aspen, a beautiful ski resort town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. While keeping the historic structure intact, the architects designed a modern expansion that remains true to its original gable and cross-gable structure.
The striking, contextually relevant contemporary residence’s interiors are light, bright, and cozy, creating a uniquely welcoming retreat for every season.
What We Love: This modern ski retreat offers its inhabitants a warm and inviting atmosphere for getaways with family and friends. A newly inspired addition helps to increase the footprint of this home to enhance the function and aesthetics of this mountain dwelling. We are loving the clean lines and simple design details throughout — from vaulted ceilings to wooden accents for cozy comfort that will be enjoyed for years to come.
Tell Us: What details in this renovation project do you find most appealing? Would this be your idea of the ultimate vacation getaway home? Let us know in the Comments below, we love reading your feedback!
