This modern contemporary home was designed by architect Champ W. Webb and built by Grove Park Construction, located in the hills of south Nashville, Tennessee. When collaborating on this project, the homeowners had different style tastes — he preferred modern, clean lines, whereas she desired a livable home for the kids, with soothing hues of blues and pastels and a beach-traditional aesthetic. The home features a crisp black and white exterior with attractive steel front doors and modern steel windows.
Design studio Vernich Interiors carried this same black and white theme into the interiors of the residence. The designer did not want the interiors to feel cold, so she infused warmth and character by introducing wood flooring and ceiling beams. Warmth was added in other ways to the neutral palette, such as the tufted leather sofa and leather-bound books in the study. Brass hardware and lighting also infuses warmth and a soothing glow throughout.

What We Love: This modern contemporary home offers sophisticated yet comfortable living spaces with plenty of design inspiration. We are especially loving the living room with its cathedral ceilings, soft color palette and bright and airy layout. The design team did a fabulous job of infusing warmth through the use of wood and a layering of textures. Overall a gorgeous home that we would love to live in… How about you?
