Los Angeles-based building and interior design company N.E. Designs, Inc. created this beautiful modern farmhouse encompassing 5,982 square feet with five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. The designers sent us pictures of this fabulous home tour along with a detailed description of their project. Be prepared, there are a lot of images, but they are all so fantastic we just had to share them all with you!
“This home was created for a spec house where our objective was to create a home with mass appeal. In order to create a universally desired look, we decided to piece together a current, transitional home. We chose to combine a traditional farmhouse style with modern elements to create a fresh non-polarizing look.”
“My team and I worked with a company of developers who were at first unsure about the new materials we presented and the unique combination of colors we chose to integrate into the room. The developers were used to a Cape Cod style home and we had to encourage them to be open-minded about a new concept even though it was initially hard for them to grasp.
With our 3D modeling software, SketchUP, we were able to visibly and effectively show the developers how our design would feel, look and layout in the room. In order to create our ideal modern farmhouse, we used rustic wood and brick elements to bring warmth to the room and sleek modern fixtures to harmonize the space. Our end result was an inviting yet stunning kitchen with mass appeal — objective accomplished.”
