Fresh and inviting beach house getaway in the seaside town of WaterColor

This inviting beach house was designed by architects T.S. Adams Studio in collaboration with Mary Mac & Company, located in WaterColor, Florida. The home was designed as a relaxing family retreat to escape the hustle and bustle of family life in Atlanta. The homeowners wished for a second home where they could spend quality family time with lazy days at the beach and barefoot living. The owners had met at a party on that same beach, married a year later and kept coming back for vacations. Since they had a special connection to this place, it was their goal to have a family vacation home here.

The floor plan allows for long sight lines throughout the interiors, while rooms are defined by architectural detailing and furnishings rather than walls. The flooring features 10-inch wide antique oak planks finished with a fuming technique, creating a beautiful aesthetic. On the walls you will find a combination of horizontal paneling, vertical board and batten and textured panels. While the ceiling features exquisite, reclaimed pecky cypress beams in a light, weathered stain.
