This amazing retreat with transitional style interiors was designed by Seattle-based Peter Stoner Architects, located on Orcas Island, the largest of the San Juan Islands, Washington. Set right at the water’s edge high atop a bluff, this two-story home showcases stunning water views. It’s secluded private location lends to offering the home’s inhabitants the perfect space to relax and unwind. The exterior facade offers a welcoming aesthetic, while the interior is just as warm and inviting. The front entryway is grand in scale, with a double volume ceiling and exquisite tilework.
Throughout the main living spaces, the wall treatment is a special type of plaster called Venetian plaster. It is burnished to a very smooth and hard finish. The color is integrated into the plaster so no paint is used.
What We Love: This stunning Orcas Island retreat offers a tranquil atmosphere both indoors and out to enjoy holidays and long weekend getaways. Expansive outdoor spaces provides ample opportunity to entertain guests in style, complete with a large swimming pool and pool house. Warm and cozy living spaces dressed in a neutral color palette helps to not detract from the incredible views that surrounds the home.
