What We Love: The harmony of color and materials, and every finish is simple yet elegantly stunning. In each room of this Cape Cod inspired home, whites are layered to provide detail through texture. The bright pops of color infuses a touch of whimsy. This clean-lined, mainly white design invokes a coastal vibe with an elegant display of materials and finishes.

Above: A cozy cottage style kitchen features a farmhouse dining table flanked by slip-covered dining chairs. The table was custom designed from Goebel and Co. Furniture. White shaker style cabinetry is complimented by an emerald green island topped with a soapstone countertop. To achieve the paint color on the island, the designer had her painter layer three different greens, red, and black.
The hand crafted copper drum lights were sourced from Low Country Originals. Shiplap walls and shiplap truss ceiling gives this space a nautical vibe. The color on the walls is Benjamin Moore Alabaster 876. Another notable feature is the ladder in the kitchen/dining area. It runs on a sliding track to help access the highest cupboards.
Above: In the cozy breakfast nook, the table is 60″ x 60″. The seats are about 24″ deep on each side. This allowed enough room for for some comfortable throw pillows.
Above: At the entryway into the master bedroom suite, a citron twig mirror picked up at an antiques show in Texas catches your eye.
Above: The master bedroom is a layering of dreamy whites, both elegant and beautiful. Highlights includes a bleached white oak bed frame, sisal rug and French doors that spills out onto a wraparound deck… not to mention the heavenly lake views.
Above: The freestanding bathtub was made by Slik Portfolio. The flooring is a 4″ hexagonal shaped Carrera marble. They are in three varying materials to create a textural aesthetic. One is smooth, one is a little rough, and one just has a bit of grit to it. The polyhedric light fixture was sourced from Visual Comfort. Loving the green vanity!
Above: An important goal for this home office was to focus on the water views, so the homeowners could enjoy working or relaxing in this space. An antique desk was placed to view the window. The color palette is a layering of whites, keeping the focal point of the space to the views of outdoors.
To add texture and visual interest, the designer had a large, built-in bookcase designed to hold accessories, adding character to the space. A decorative twig light fixtures also brings texture to the space and adds a cozy charm to the space.
Above: In the guest bathroom, the vanity was picked up on a buying trip in the South. The top was taken off and the designer had the marble top designed and fabricated by a stone supplier. It now reflects a vintage style washstand.
Above: The girl’s bunk room design was inspired by sleepovers, manicures and hanging out. Both functional and playful, hanging rattan chairs from Serena & Lily are made for swinging around. Friends can chat with each other and their bunk mates. A brightly hued, hand woven area rug by Dash and Albert Rugs (source) and a shabby feathered pendant light adds a touch of whimsy to the space.
Above: A game/family room is located on the lower level. The family room can be closed off if needed by reclaimed wood barn doors on sliders.
