Miller Architects in collaboration with Jennifer Hoey Interior Design imagined this beautiful woodland chalet, located in Wood River Valley, a region just outside of Sun Valley, Idaho. The homeowners, a couple who had recently moved from Minnesota, were looking for an atmosphere that reflected authentic rustic European styling.
Materials of historic hewn stone and stucco were incorporated into the design of this cozy home nestled amongst a stand of aspens. The surrounding property offers various activities to enjoy year-round, with fantastic skiing and hiking opportunities on the nearby mountains.
The roof is clad with a beautiful cedar shake, adding to the aesthetics of the exterior and helping the home to blend in with its surrounding environment.
